Aizawl, July 1 -- Mizoram has urged the Centre to extend greater support for tourism development, with a special focus on community-based tourism and local entrepreneurs, during a high-level meeting between state Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar and senior officials of the union Ministry of Tourism in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The minister met Bhuvnesh Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, at Transport Bhawan, where they reviewed tourism projects currently being implemented in Mizoram and discussed proposals for future initiatives. Director General and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Suman Billa, also attended the meeting.
