Aizawl, Oct. 25 -- The Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) in south Mizoram's Lawngtlai district has cancelled 138 land settlement certificates (LSCs) following a corruption ruling by the Special Court (Prevention of Corruption), officials from the council's land revenue department said today.
The Special Court, presided over by Judge F. Rohlupuia, had convicted two circle supervisors of the LADC's land revenue department- T. Zairikhuma and B. Hrangchhuma - under Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, read with Sections 420 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code.
