Aizawl, June 15 -- Border management, the fallout of the Myanmar conflict, narcotics trafficking and the challenges of implementing India's Act East Policy dominated discussionsat the Mizoram Pre-Event of the North Eastern Regional Dialogue on Internal Security (NERDIS-2026), held at Mizoram University.
The event, jointly organised by the Centre for Internal Security Analysis (CISA), 23 Sector Assam Rifles and Mizoram University on June 13, was the first pre-event ahead of NERDIS-2026.
It brought together defence veterans, academics, policy experts and researchers to examine Mizoram's evolving security landscape.
