Aizawl, June 8 -- Mizoram has achieved more than 97 per cent coverage in the distributionof enumeration forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with election authorities expressing confidence that the exercise is progressing smoothly across the state.
Addressing journalists here on Monday, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Garima Gupta said Block Level Officers (BLOs) had distributed 8,50,451 enumeration forms to voters as of 4 pm, representing 97.19 per cent of the state's total electorate.
According to official figures, Mizoram currently has 8,75,068 registered voters, including 4,23,397 male voters and 4,51,671 female voters.
