Aizawl, July 15 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Wednesday appealed to people who are receiving family pension through fraudulent or invalid documents to voluntarily surrender their Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) during a three-month amnesty period, warning that legal action would follow against those found guilty after verification.
Launching a state-wide awareness campaign on the voluntary surrender of PPOs at the Assembly Annex Conference Hall in Aizawl, Lalduhoma, who also holds the Finance portfolio, said the initiative was aimed at eliminating fraudulent family pension claims while ensuring that genuine beneficiaries continue to receive their pensions smoothly and transparently.
