Aizawl, April 28 -- The Mizoram Health Department's Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) on Tuesday issued a fresh public advisory on Covid-19, following the detection of new cases in the state this year, cautioning that the infectious respiratory diseasehas not been fully contained.
Health officials said that although Covid-19 is no longer classified as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, the virus continues to circulate and poses a risk of infection at any time.
The advisory stressed that complacency could lead to renewed transmission, particularly given the highly infectious nature of the disease.
