Aizawl, Aug. 18 -- The Mizoram Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Lalduhoma, met at the Cabinet Room of the Chief Minister's Office on Tuesday and took up a series of proposals, including a move to revisit the rules governing the provincialisation of schools.

The Cabinet considered a proposal from the School Education Department to revise the prerequisite conditions for school provincialisation and related matters, with the statedobjective of making the process less restrictive and enabling more schools to qualify.

The government also decided that the financial implications of expanding provincialisationwould be examined before the matter is brought before the Council of Ministers again.
