Aizawl, July 12 -- The Mizoram government has advised tourists from outside the state to defer their travel plans until the end of the monsoon season, citing widespread damage caused by relentless rainfall that has triggered landslides, flash floods and road blockades across the state.

The advisory, issued by the state Tourism Department, comes as continuous monsoon showers continue to wreak havoc in different parts of Mizoram, disrupting road connectivity, damaging infrastructure and causing hardships for both residents and travellers.
