Aizawl, July 14 -- Church leaders from Mizoram and Nagaland have initiated efforts to facilitate dialogue between the Naga and Kuki-Zo communities in Manipur, as violence and tensions continue to strain relations between the two groups in the neighbouring state.
Sources in the Mizoram Kohhran Hruaitute Committee (MKHC), an umbrella body of major Christian denominations in Mizoram, said the committee met a delegation of Kuki-Zo church leaders from Manipur's Churachandpur district and representatives of the Nagaland JointChristian Forum (NJCF) in Aizawl on Tuesday to discuss possible avenues for peace-building.
