Aizawl, Oct. 13 -- The Mizoram Merchant Association (MIMA) has raised strong objections against the ongoing 1st International Star Expo being held at Lammual, Aizawl, alleging multiple violations of law and misleading advertisements.
In a press release issued after an emergency executive meeting convened at its General Headquarters today, MIMA said the organisers had failed to conduct the event as advertised and had committed "gross violations of rules and procedures."According to MIMA, the event's title "1st International Star Expo," as displayed on banners and advertisements, constitutes a misleading or false advertisement under Section 89 of the Central Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
