Mitakshara Kumar replaces Jasmeet K Reen as director of 'The Royals 2'

Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- "The Royals 2", the second season of the Ishaan Khatter-led series, has undergone a change in its director, with Mitakshara Kumar taking over the project after Jasmeet K Reen exited just three days into the shoot.

Kumar comes to the project with extensive experience working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She assisted Bhansali on "Bajirao Mastani", "Padmaavat" and "Gangubai Kathiawadi", and later directed episodes of his Netflix series "Heeramandi".

The cast and crew were actively shooting a major sequence when mounting creative differences between producer Rangita Nandy and Reen reportedly led to the director's sudden exit, according to Variety India.
