Pune, June 5 -- Marking World Environment Day, students and faculty of the MIT Art, Design and Technology (MIT-ADT) University planted more than 300 trees under the Government of India's national campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'.

The initiative was jointly organised by the University's Office of Student Welfare and the Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET).

Around 300 MANET cadets enthusiastically participated in the plantation activity. Various species, including Kanchan, Bahava (Golden Shower), Gulmohar and Palm trees, were planted across the university campus.
