Chennai, July 8 -- Two months after the launch of its maiden Mission Drishti, the world's first OptoSAR satellite developed by it,he Bengaluru-based space spartup GalaxEye has announced that communication with the spacecraft was lost after it encountered an anomaly following a geomagnetic solar storm during the final stage of the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP).

Mission Drishti, also India's largest privately developed Earth observation satellite, was launched on May 3 aboard a Falcon 9 bySpaceX from Vandenberg, California, marking a historic milestone for Earth observation and India's private space sector.
