Tirumala, April 18 -- A 12-year-old boy from Tamil Nadu, who went missing on the Alipiri footpath, was safely traced and reunited with his family by vigilance personnel on Saturday.
The boy, identified as Adarsh from Chengalpattu, was reported missing near the 2,500th step of the Alipiri footpath.
It is the traditional trekking route for pilgrims walking from Tirupati to the Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala. This sacred path, approximately 9-11 km long, consists of roughly 3,550 steps.
Following an alert from the Command Control Room, officials responded swiftly and launched a search operation.
The child was traced in the PAC-2 area of Tirumala and brought safely to the Vigilance office at Lepakshi Circle.
