Patna, July 2 -- Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that the minorities were safe in India but were living in deplorable condition in the neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Addressing the BJP State Executive meeting Singh spoke about the philosophy of 'Sarva Dharma Sambhav' (all dharma are possible) saying that Indian culture has been secular by nature and this is the land where everyone is free to propagate their views.

He said if minorities were safe anywhere in the world, it is in India whereas the minority community was in a bad condition in Pakistan.
