Nagpur, April 17 -- State Minorities Commission Chairman Pyare Khan on Friday alleged that BJP leader and former MP Navneet Rana attempted to deliberately incite a Hindu-Muslim dispute in connection with the Achalpur-Paratwada sexual exploitation case in Amravati district.
Speaking to reporters here, Khan said that a team from the Commission was dispatched to Paratwada to assess the situation and gather ground-level information.
He added that instructions have been issued to Amravati Police Commissioner Rakesh Ola to take strict action against individuals spreading rumours in the case, irrespective of their political stature.
