New Delhi, May 5 -- With the apprehension of a minor accused, the North District Police have solved a blind case of an attempted murder near the Red Fort area, officials said on Tuesday.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy from Nangloi, was attacked at Parade Ground.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia said that a 16-year-old juvenile was apprehended from Haridwar after sustained efforts and technical surveillance. He added that the accused had been living in the Chandni Chowk area and was involved in another similar attack near Jama Masjid on the same night.

According to police, the incident occurred after a heated argument when the victim allegedly refused to give money and slapped the accused, triggering a violent reaction. T...
