Mumbai, March 30 -- Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Monday urged households in areas where piped natural gas (PNG) infrastructure is already available to apply for connections, cautioning that LPG cylinder supplies could be discontinued if consumers fail to switch.

The appeal comes against the backdrop of an ongoing LPG shortage linked to the West Asia conflict and follows a recent meeting with the Centre in Delhi.
