Hooghly, Oct. 19 -- Sriparna Poddar, a 27-year-old nurse from Baidyabati, Hooghly, was tragically killed in the stampede at the Chorbagan Sarbojonin Durga Puja pandal in North Kolkata on Saturday.
Sriparna was a resident of Malir Bagan area of Ward 18 under the Baidyabati Municipality. The West Bengal Minister of State Bhaskar Bhattacharya this evening visited the family in mourning who have lost their only daughter Sriparna in the Chorbagan tragedy.
