Hyderabad, April 12 -- In view of the intensifying summer heat, Telangna Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka has directed officials to establish Chaliveendralu (free drinking water centres) from village level to mandal headquarters across Telangana.
She instructed Divya Devarajan, Director of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, to ensure adequate drinking water facilities for travellers and people stepping out for work in rural areas.
Emphasising the hardships faced during summer, the Minister said free water centres should be set up in all villages, particularly at crowded locations such as bus stands, marketplaces, and along main roads.
