Buldhana, Nov. 4 -- A political controversy has erupted in Maharashtra's Buldhana district after serious allegations of land grabbing were levelled against Siddharth Bhandare, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Minister Sanjay Shirsat.

According to a complaint filed by the Tare family from Dongarkhandala village, 14 acres of their ancestral farmland valued at approximately Rs 4.5 crore was allegedly transferred illegally to a relative of Bhandare without the consent of all legal heirs.

The family claims that only eight of the 23 heirs sold the land to Mahendra Raut, a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and reportedly Bhandare's brother-in-law.
