Moscow, June 5 -- Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted the State's growing importance in global maritime trade and logistics while participating in the 'New Frontiers in Global Logistics and the Arctic Logistics Framework' dialogue on Day 4 of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026.

"While India imports energy resources, it can export manufactured products, creating balanced trade opportunities through emerging logistics corridors," he revealed.

Responding to a question on whether Andhra Pradesh is prepared to adapt its shipbuilding and port infrastructure, Minister Lokesh said the Arctic is emerging as a critical factor in shaping the future of global trade, energy security, and resource transportation.
