Hyderabad, Aug. 14 -- MIM President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday strongly condemned the Bar Council of India's (BCI) handling of the controversy involving Hyderabad based NALSAR University of Law students.

In a post on social media platform X, Owaisi said the BCI Chairman had initially directed State Bar Councils not to enroll NALSAR's 2026 law graduates as advocates, following their opposition to the invitation extended to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant to attend the university's convocation.

The BCI later withdrew the order and instead ordered an inquiry into the student campaign over the CJI's participation in the convocation, he said.
