Bhubaneswar, March 28 -- In a tragic road accident, at least five people lost their lives and more than 40 others were injured,10 of them critically, after a private tourist bus overturned near Taketa under Daspalla Police Station in Odisha's Nayagarh district late Friday night.
The bus, carrying around 60 passengers, was traveling from Berhampur to Harishankar, a tourist place, in Bolangir district when the accident occurred on Hanumangadi Road around midnight.
All injured passengers were initially admitted to the Daspalla Community Health Centre (CHC). Those in critical condition were later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for advanced treatment.
