Kolkata, March 1 -- Multiple flights to the Middle East were cancelled from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Sunday after several Gulf countries shut their airspace following reported joint missile strikes on Tehran by Israel and the United States, triggering widespread disruption across international aviation routes.
Airport sources said services from Kolkata to Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other West Asian destinations were either cancelled or placed on indefinite hold, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
