Mumbai, July 14 -- The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) on Tuesday launched a statewide tree plantation and conservation campaign, targeting the planting of one lakh trees across its regional boards in Maharashtra.
The initiative, undertaken during the ongoing Van Mahotsav celebrations, aims to address environmental challenges arising from rapid urbanisation, climate change, pollution and rising temperatures by creating greener and more sustainable urban spaces.
