Bengaluru, June 12 -- Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Friday said that merely being named in a petition does not make a person guilty, responding to questions over actor Prakash Raj's name being mentioned in a writ petition linked to the alleged Dharmasthala conspiracy case.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Kharge said the matter was currently before the court and that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would respond to queries raised by the judiciary.
"Not everyone becomes a criminal just because their name is mentioned. The court has sought information from the SIT chief and he will answer the court first. We cannot come before the media and discuss the matter," he said.
