Shimla, Nov. 7 -- The mercury improved across Himachal Pradesh as minimum temperatures rose marginally in most parts of the state after the recent spell of rain and snowfall.

The improvement in night temperatures brought a brief relief from the cold that gripped the hill state earlier this week.

According to the latest bulletin from the Meteorological Department, the average minimum temperature across Himachal Pradesh showed an improvement of 0.2 degree Celsius during the past 24 hours. Several district headquarters recorded a noticeable change in night temperatures.

In Shimla, the state capital, the temperature improved by 1.8 degree Celsius, settling at 10.2 degree Celsius, which is 1.4 degree Celsius above normal. Sundernagar recorded...
