Srinagar, June 25 -- People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Thrusaday alleged that nearly 25,000 backdoor appointments have been made in various government departments across Jammu and Kashmir during the past 22 months and demanded an investigation into the recruitment process.
Mehbooba claimed that the appointments were made through private outsourcing agencies without any transparent advertisement or competitive selection process.
Talking to reporters in Kupwara she alleged that vacancies in several government departments were filled through recommendations from political leaders and influential persons, depriving deserving candidates of employment opportunities.
