Shillong, Sept. 9 -- Meghalaya plans to expand its network of Health Sub Centres to 700 by March 2027, with 200 more health facilities scheduled to be completed by then, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister reviewed and took stock of the ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the state.
The review covered the progress of Sub Centres, Primary and Community Health Centres, and hospital projects under implementation in all districts of the State.
"More than 110 Sub Centres have been completed over the past two years. Another 200 facilities by March 2027 is expected to strengthen access to primary healthcare, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas," Sangma said.
