Shillong, July 19 -- Two Meghalaya karatekas won medals at the 10th Cadet, Junior, U-21 and Senior South Asian Karate Championship 2026 held in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka, an official said on Sunday.
Daniel Dabiangbha Warjri won a gold medal in the Boys' Junior Individual Kumite (-68kg) category, while Gideon Tympuin took bronze in the Men's U-21 Individual Kata event.
The championship concluded on Sunday.
The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association expressed tremendous joy at the two men's success in the championship.
This adds to the consistent levels of top tier performance by the association's karatekas in regional, national and (increasingly) international events.
