Belbari, Feb. 14 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today said that the government will examine the proposal to introduce the Koch language at the lower primary level under the National Education Policy 2020.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the 56th Annual Koch Conference at Belbari in South West Garo Hills district, Sangma said the state government would consider the aspirations of all communities through dialogue and consensus-building.

The ethnic Koch community also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister outlining key demands related to language, education and infrastructure.
