Shillong, April 11 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday said the government is establishing homes for the elderly across the state, based on the concept of promoting active and happy aging.
"I am very keen to see how we can have these active aging centres and how we can collaborate with institutions for the benefit of our elderly and senior citizens," Sangma said after inaugurating the Nabon Memorial Home, an initiative of Jingiaseng Kynthei Shillong Ri Lum Presbytery, at Mawiong Rim, Shillong.
