Shillong, July 30 -- The Meghalaya government has prohibited felicitation of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, ministers and other state dignitaries during official government programmes with immediate effect.

"No felicitation of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister(s), ministers or other state dignitaries shall be organised at any state government programme," Secretary of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (A) Department, Isawanda Laloo, stated in a circular.
