Shillong, Nov. 13 -- The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Wednesday said it has garnered about 10,000 signatures as part of the nationwide campaign against "vote chori" (vote theft).
MPCC Working President, Deborah Marak claimed that the campaign had drawn an overwhelming response from the public in the state.
She said Congress workers had been going across the state, right up to the block level to create awareness about the alleged "vote theft" that is "undermining the country's democratic system".
"We are going door to door with the signature campaign and we urge all the people to be part of it," the former Deputy Chief Minister said.
