Shillong, Sept. 5 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma met union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed various important issues related to the overall development of the state.

During the meeting yesterday, Sangma discussed the long-pending issue of the implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP), inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

He also demanded to bifurcate the joint cadre system of IAS, IPS and IFS officers of Assam and Meghalaya.
