Shillong, Aug. 24 -- The autumn session of the Meghalaya legislative assembly will begin from Monday, with opposition parties prepared to floor the National People's Party-led government on the prevailing law and order situation in the state capital.
The session, which is scheduled to conclude on August 28, will have five working days, with three days of government business and two days of private members' business.
The Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government is likely to move a resolution against uranium mining in the state.
The opposition Trinamool Congress and Voice of the People Party are expected to raise several issues, ranging from the prevailing law and order situation in the state and environmental concerns.
