Shillong, Nov. 5 -- Several protesters were injured after Meghalaya Police resorted to lathi charge and used tear gas shells to disperse an unruly mob disrupting movement of cement and clinker-laden trucks on National Highway 6 at Mawryngkneng area in State's East Khasi Hills district late Tuesday night.
Apart from the injured, four persons were also arrested by the police, including the President of Meghalaya Commercial Truck Owners' and Drivers' Association (MCTO&DA) Mokslander Marngar.
