Shillong, Feb. 28 -- An Area Commander of the banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) surrendered on Friday, while two others were arrested, officials said on Friday.
Samuel Wahlang Pahsyntiew, also known as Samuel Wahlang, a resident of Umpohwin under Mawlasnai Outpost in Ri-Bhoi district, surrendered cadre has been identified as Samuel Wahlang Pahsyntiew, also known as Samuel Wahlang, laid down arms before the district police chief of Eastern West Khasi Hills district,Dangsan Khyriem.
Pahsyntiew, a resident of Umpohwin under Mawlasnai outpost in Ri-Bhoi district, is suspected to have been involved in the IED blast near the Syndicate Bus Stand, which is close to Harijan Colony at Iewmawlong in Shillong, on March 9, 2024, al...
