Kolkata, Aug. 9 -- A mega Tiranga Yatra will be held in Kolkata on Monday as part of the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, with similar programmes and rallies planned in several districts of West Bengal to mark Independence Day.
The state-wide campaign aims to encourage people to display the national flag and highlight the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
The Kolkata yatra will begin at 3 pm on Monday, from the foot of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose statue on Red Road and culminate at Gate No. 7 of the Birla Planetarium.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will lead the march and address a public gathering near the Birla Planetarium after the procession.
