Betul, Nov. 5 -- A dispute is aggravating vis-a-vis land for a proposed medical college in this district's Kosmi village.
The administration is preparing to allot the land to a private institute for college construction but villagers are opposing the move. Yesterday, dozens of locals reached the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum to the Collector. The villagers said they have been living on the land since 1980.
About 70 families had built their permanent dwellings there and in 1998 they were given pattas by the village panchayat under the Rajiv Gandhi Ashray Yojana.
