Varanasi, June 10 -- After the Municipal Corporation's decision to allow meat and fish shops to operate outside the city limits in the religious city of Kashi, politics has now heated up regarding this decision.
Congress councillors protested this decision at the Congress party office in Maidagin on Wednesday.
They alleged that Congress councillor group leader Gulshan Ali did not submit a written proposal in this regard at the House meeting held on Saturday.
Nevertheless, the municipal corporation publicised that the proposal was brought by Gulshan Ali, which was unanimously accepted in the House.
The councillors demanded that the proposal be made public, and if a written proposal were submitted, it should be presented.
