Varanasi, June 6 -- The era of meat and fish being sold in every street and neighborhood within Kashi will soon be a thing of the past.

The Municipal Corporation has taken a bold and significant decision to maintain order and cleanliness in the city.

As part of this initiative, all meat and fish shops will be relocated outside the city limits.

The House approved this proposal in a meeting held at the Town Hall in Maidagin on Saturday under the chairmanship of Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari.

The meeting discussed several important issues related to the city's overall development, encroachments, and public interest, with the decision to relocate meat and fish markets to the city's outskirts being the most prominent.
