Chennai, June 27 -- As expected, a sulking MDMK on Saturday ended its nine year long journey with the Opposition DMK and walked out of the alliance on Saturday and it is now expected to team up with the Vijay's tuling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
A decision to this effect was adopted unanimously at the General Council meeting, the highest policy level decision making body, chaired by MDMK General Secretary Vaiko.
Though it was widely believed that it would switch loyalty to ruling TVK led by Chief Minister Vijay and pledge its support to it, the resolution said a decision on forging alliance with TVK would be taken at the time of the elections.
