Meerut/Shahjahanpur, March 4 -- Two cases of alleged suicide have been reported from Meerut and Shahjahanpur in UP on Holi day.
A 30-year-old medical doctor pursuing his MD degree was found hanging in his rented accommodation in Gokuldham Colony under the Bhawanpur police station area on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Dr. Giri Prasad, had completed his MBBS and was pursuing postgraduate studies at a medical college. Originally from Tamil Nadu, he was residing in a rented house in the D-Block area of Gokuldham Colony.
According to police, a fellow student informed authorities around 11 AM after discovering the body. Police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it for postmortem examination.
