Imphal, May 4 -- : The Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) has issued urgent directions to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Lamphelpat, Imphal, to immediately admit a 14-year-old student of KTL School, Phungreitang, Ukhrul, who suffered grievous electrocution injuries after coming into contact with an exposed high-tension power line in Peh Village, Ukhrul District, on 22 April 2026.

Chairperson Keisam Pradipkumar today said in an order that the Class IX student, a resident of Peh Village under Ukhrul District, was first treated at the District Hospital, Ukhrul, before being referred to RIMS, Imphal.
