Mumbai, March 23 -- The Maharashtra government has announced stringent action in the adulterated milk case reported from Andheri, with Food and Drug Administration Minister Narhari Zirwal informing the Assembly that the accused will be booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The announcement was made on Monday as the issue triggered a detailed discussion in the House.

The matter was raised by BJP MLA Manisha Kayande along with other legislators, who stressed the need to ensure safe and pure food for citizens.
