New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- Delhi Congress Chief Devender Yadav on Wednesday alleged that it was a regressive step by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to make the approval from the area Councillor mandatory for the Residents' Welfare Associations to maintain the parks instead of encouraging them to give a helping hand to the civic body to keep the parks neat and clean.
Yadav has said that when Congress was in power in Delhi, the RWAs were given full support to do social work through the Bhagidari Scheme, to promote citizen partnership in civic management and neighborhood cleanliness.
