New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday demolished unauthorised constructions and structurally unsafe properties across all 12 zones of the city, with 34 demolitions and 17 sealing actions undertaken during the day.

Following Sunday's mishap, the civic body has also surveyed 1,252 paying guest (PG) buildings as part of its safety assessment.

The survey has put the focus on buildings considered more vulnerable, particularly those with more than five storeys and RCC-framed structures and those with four storeys and load-bearing brick walls.
