Lucknow, Sept. 7 -- In a significant political move ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati has decided to demonstrate a show of strength by organising a massive rally in Lucknow on October 9.
The rally is being held on the occasion of BSP founder Kanshi Ram's death anniversary at the Kanshi Ram Memorial site.
The party has set an ambitious target of mobilising a crowd of three lakh people for the event. Mayawati herself will be lead the rally, which the party claims will be historic in scale.
